Customers losing hair over closure of treatment centre
KUALA LUMPUR: Eleven people who paid a total of RM150,000 for hair treatment fear their money is now lost as the branch at which they signed up for the services has closed down.
Five of the customers filed claims at the Consumer Claims Tribunal yesterday to get refunds amounting to about RM25,000 from the company.
The group’s spokesperson, Rachel Lee, said the remaining customers would file their respective cases in the coming days.
She said the branch in Subang Jaya had closed down about two months ago and customers were not informed about it.
Another affected customer who only wanted to be known as Cheah said he spent close to RM6,000 for a package of 60 treatments in February but had not even used one.

“Now I’m so worried about the money that I’m losing hair!” he said.
The hair treatment company has four branches in Subang Jaya, Plaza Mont Kiara, Mid Valley City and Berjaya Times Square.
It is learnt that the branch in Mid Valley is the only one that is still open.
“Some of us approached the people there and we found out that we could get out treatment there, but our appointments are consistently cancelled or postponed with very short notice.”
This was because the Mid Valley branch has to cater to the many customers from the other branches that had folded, she claimed.
An ex-employee of the company said there were more than 100 customers who paid for packages at the Subang Jaya branch.
“We, the workers, were not paid our salaries either but I am more concerned about the customers who had paid a lot of money in advance,” the ex-employee said.
The manager of the Mid Valley branch refused to comment and efforts to reach her employer proved to be futile.

Td masa aku baca cerita ni, nak gelak pun ada, nak kesian pun ada, pelik pun ada… Mushkil aku, ada jugak ye org sanggup berhabisan kerana rambut… ish2… nasib baik la aku pakai tudung, so x yah la nak risau2 sgt pasal rambut ni… ada ke diaorg sanggup bayar RM6000 untuk 60 treatmeant? maksudnya sekali treatment RM100… giler aper? agaknya diaorg ni da byk sgt duit kot, smp x tau nak buat aper. Hilang akal la diaorg ni… heheheheheh gelak aku. Kat opis ni ada sorang cina ni lg dashyat. Dia spent almost (almost ker???, aku dgr da cecah pun) RM1, 000 untuk buat sekali treatment. Sekali tau, bukan 3-4 kali… giler… tp aku tgk biasa je pun… heheeheheh… biasala, org lepas bersalin memang byk rambut gugur… konon nak buat treatment. Untung gak ye klu bukak salon rambut ni… hai… ni la dia manusia akhir zaman……
